
Dan Dan Noodles

A fragrant and delicious take on dan-dan noodles, using Soyyum plain protein crumbles.

INGREDIENTS
20 oz unseasoned meatless crumbles
32 oz thin wheat noodles (you can find fresh dan dan noodles at some asain markets)
2 tbsp fresh garlic, minced
2 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
2 tbsp fresh ground pepper
1 tsp chinese
5 spice
1 tsp chili flakes
2 tbsp cooking oil
1 tbsp sesame oil
4 tbsp soy sauce
Garnish with green onion and sesame seeds
WHAT YOU NEED

DIRECTIONS
Pre cook the noodles according to package instructions.
Place in bowl, lightly toss in sesame oil to keep from sticking.
Gently heat cooking oil in pan. add the garlic and ginger and heat until it becomes fragrant.
Add the protein starter and cook until brown.
Once the protein is browned, add all spices, heat for several minutes until they become fragrant.
Remove from heat, set aside.
Heat a new pan at maximum heat.
Add one tablespoon of cooking oil.
Add the noodles, so they warm and separate.
Add the protein starter.
Keep ingredients moving in the pan so it doesn't stick or burn.
Add sesame oil and soy sauce and keep stirring.
Remove from heat when pan gets dry.
Plate noodles and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
